Several degrees warmer today for inland areas with the greatest
warming for the inland valleys and inland Orange County. A weak

tropical moisture northward into the area for the weekend. Some
lighter showers could occur as early as Saturday, but the most

and evening along with a slight chance of thunderstorms. There
will be a cooling trend for Saturday through Tuesday with a deeper

.SHORT TERM (Today through Sunday)...
A weak upper level low pressure system off the coast of northern
Baja will drift toward the southwest through tonight, then
begin moving toward the northeast late Saturday, moving across
northern Baja late Sunday and into Arizona Sunday night as it
weakens.
High pressure aloft to the north and easterly lower level flow
will bring the greatest warming today to the inland valleys and
inland Orange County. High temperatures will range from the lower
70s near the San Diego County coast to the mid to upper 90s for
the Inland Empire with the lower deserts reaching 100 to 105. A
cooling trend will begin on Saturday and continue through
Tuesday with extensive cloud cover keeping Saturday night warmer.
Some mid level moisture from the tropics will begin to spread into
the area from the south for late tonight and Saturday with a
greater influx for late Saturday night into Sunday. Some lighter
showers or virga could occur as early as Saturday, but the most
likely time for more widespread showers is for Sunday afternoon
and evening along with a slight chance of thunderstorms. the

300915Z...Coasts/Valleys...High clouds at 15-20K ft MSL are moving
to the east over the region but currently dissipating. As they do,
low clouds 1000-1500 ft MSL will reform and move north into coastal
San Diego Co up to about 15 miles inland, with vis restrictions in
the western valleys over higher terrain. Less likely for low clouds
to move into Orange Co, with chances peaking at 25% for cigs at KSNA
by 13Z this morning. Low clouds scatter out 17-19Z, before
rebuilding and moving inland again after 04Z Sat, based 800-1200 ft
